First Place $300 Bass Pro Prize Package

Mark Dibble
"This deer was killed on Nov 16th, 07 just outside of South Haven. I made the shot at 32 yards, using my 12 gauge shotgun. The deer only made it 40 yards before expiring. This was a 10 point buck in the 150 point class and the rack included 7 inch brow tines, 12 1/2 inch G2 tines, and 11 inch G3 tines. This is my second trophy buck taken from this property in the last 2 years."
Second Place Runner Up

"2nd Place Bass Pro Shop $200 Prize Package" with this story to follow: "I harvested this buck the evening of October 1st in Port Sanilac, Mi. I was hunting the edge of a field tucked in the woods a couple yards. I was in a tree stand over a heavily traveled run with a velvet rub 5 yards off the field. I was watching some doe's and a couple really small bucks when I heard this guy come through directly below me. He stopped and was watching the other deer in the field. I drew my bow back and was able to place a shot right in the business office! He ran into the field, and dropped about 35-40 yards out. He's an 8 point weighing in at 205 lbs."

"US Steel was a lead regional sponsor for this event.
All vendors providing services to USS were invited to participate with donations.
I was made aware of the event by the Environmental Department at the main plant and also by the Zug Island plant managers.
Vendors who exceeded a set dollar figure earned their names on the events T-shirt and advertising spots."
