Klochko Hosts NAWIC’s  “Skirts N Dirt” Meeting in May

The monthly meeting of the National Association of Women in Construction will take place at our Melvindale location on May 20, 2009.   The focus of the meeting will be to provide the opportunity for NAWIC  members to have a hands on experience operating various types of construction equipment.  The women members of the Detroit Chapter # 183  have a very diverse occupational background – some have never been on a job site and therefore have never operated a piece of equipment.  The Sales staff at Klochko will be there to lend a hand along with the equipment savvy NAWIC members in teaching the inexperienced members the ins and outs of equipment function, operational procedure and safety on the job site.   Everyone involved in this joint venture is looking forward to a fun and educational evening.

Susan Long of Klochko has recently been nominated to the board of directors with the National Association of Women In Construction (NAWIC). We would like to congratulate Susan for her hard work in achieving this status. NAWIC is well known for getting women involved at every level in the construction industry. Klochko will also host the "Skirts in Dirt" meeting to be held next spring at our Melvindale, Mi. location.
